Queries about using Soundcloud

Please can someone help me. I have downloaded soundcloud and set up an account but how do I record my word for challenge 7. Do I need an additional recording app? I’ve downloaded soundcloud to iPad if anyone can help me. It all appears very difficult. Thanks

Edited to add - others have had the same problems so the thread is not just about the soundcloud bit (which you’ve done), but the recording bit too.

It looks like a third party app might be necessary…
I don’t know if the voice recording feature does the job…

How to record a voice memo

  1. Open the Voice Memos app or ask Siri to open it.
  2. To record , tap or click . To stop, tap . On your iPad or Mac1, tap or click .
  3. When you tap , your memo is saved automatically with your current location as the title. On your iPad or Mac, click Done when you’re finished recording .

This is some advice that was given to a previous 6 Monther using an iPad:

Install the AudioCopy app. This lets you record from the microphone, then lets you directly upload to soundcloud. You need to previously have created a soundcloud account, then in AudioCopy you just enter the account details, and it ‘just works’.
