Alternative ways to wnes

When translating something like “You started”, as well as “Wnes ti dechrau”, can you say “Ti wedi dechreu”.

…well…Ti wedi dechrau…means…you have started…which is similar in intent but not quite so complete - if you see what I mean.

Wnes ti…means ‘you did…’ and therefore creates a full past tense…I.e something which is completed.

These are the joys of tenses!
