Categories and Rules for the Online Eisteddfod 2018

The Online Eisteddfod is a chance for all of you - no matter where you live - to participate in that unique Welsh cultural experience that is the Eisteddfod.

There are lots of different categories, so something for everyone. The main goal is to enjoy yourself while stretching your Welsh as much as you can, so have a browse through the Categories and Rules document and see what you can come up with.

The Submissions Officer is @dafyddyfelin who will explain how to submit your entries as we get closer to the period for sending them in.

If anyone has any questions, please post them in Questions about Online Eisteddfod 2018 and we’ll try to answer them as soon as possible.

I have recorded a friend singing ‘Bugeilio’ for the solo singing comp in the online Eisteddfod. She sang only the first and last verses (two out of the four). Will this be acceptable as an entry?

I think it’s fine for your friend to enter it. When people start voting next week, it will be up to them to decide whether those 2 verses are sung so well, they merit a vote, but at least she will have had the pleasure and experience of entering.
