Cooler than yesterday

The only way I’ve found of saying it’s cooler than yesterday is oerach. It seems odd as on a hot day that isn’t quite as warm as the day before you’d think of saying cooler in English rather than colder. Is that just the way it is using Welsh?

Well, sometimes the best way to express something in another language is not to try a word-for-word translation, and Welsh really only has oer for both cool and cold. So if oerach doesn’t seem to fit the bill for what you want to say, you can try these instead:
Mae hi wedi oeri tipyn bach heddiw. - Literally It has cooled a bit today or
Dyw hi ddim mor boeth na ddoe. - Literally It’s not as hot as yesterday.
