It can also help if you think of the “i” as following certain verbs, rather than going in front of one, e.g. “mynd i” - “mynd i ddysgu Cymraeg”, “mynd i siarad yn well” - using “mynd” in that way needs the “i” to connect it to the following verb, so if you learn verbs like that with the little word that follows as a pair, that can be useful. You’ll come across more with different “little words” as your knowledge of Welsh grows.
