Vocab gives us ‘Draw fanco’ for ‘Over there.’
I understand the ‘draw’ and I understand the ‘fan’…but what’s ‘co’? Is it a contraction of something? I assume it would be Ok to say 'Draw fan ‘na.’ for over there? Just curious as to what ‘co’ is.
Thanks.

fanco is a version of fancw which comes from fan acw which translates literally as ‘the place over there/the place yonder’
and yes, fan 'na works too

Co seems to come up quite a lot, particularly if you watch Pobol y Cwm. It seems to mean ‘here’ or there. So, on PyC they say ‘Co ti’ (here you are, there you are eg when giving someone a cup of tea), ‘Co fe’ (here it is, there it is) etc.

Ah ha - you’ve just solved another query. I’m a Pobol y Cwm addict (!) and I do see ‘co ti’ all the time. I know it means there you are/here you are, but I could never work out the ‘co’ element. Thanks.
