Hi

Does anyone know what oce’te? means. I read it in the ‘sgwp’ novel by Lois arnold

There is ^ over the e in oce.

Thanks

OK, then
The ê gives the OK a Welsh OKair sound.

Not at all. It took me a while as well. Its only that I heard it before seeing it written. A bit like eniwê for anyway

Going slightly off topic - apparently one of the most mispronounced place names in Britain is Balachulish - easier to hear than to read, which is why I find SSiW’s approach so helpful.

Isn’t that a cool-ish Bala?
