Pen Llŷn, Seafood, Beer and Siarad Cymraeg

If by any chance you’re graced with the opportunity to be travelling in North Wales this summer, then I would highly recommend a visit to Nefyn on the Llŷn Peninsula.

Many of you already know that Nefyn and Morfa Nefyn have absolutely stunning beaches. You may well have already had the pleasure of visiting the Tŷ Coch on Porthdinllaen beach, yes that famous red pub right on the sand.

Well Nefyn now has a new attraction, a mobile seafood catering company called Môr Flasus ! It’s a new venture run by local people who are deeply passionate about both seafood and catering. They freshly cook locally caught fayre and are currently operating at Bragdy Cwrw Llŷn in Nefyn. Bragdy Cwrw Llŷn is the Welsh craft brewery situated on the outskirts of the village.

So what could be better than a visit to Nefyn, a tasting session and tour of the brewery, freshly cooked seafood from Môr Flasus , a walk along the beach to the Tŷ Coch , possibly a visit to the Maritime Museum in the Santes Fair church in the centre of the village, with the added bonus of the opportunity to practise your Cymraeg at each stop!

Also remember that Nefyn is just a stone’s throw away from Nant Gwrtheyrn the Welsh Language and Heritage Centre.
