Question about level 2 challenge 6 by Janice Lingley

Have just been working on Level 2 Challenge 6. In his chatty bits, Aran quips about being ‘Stuck at the coalface’. Is this a proverbial saying in Welsh? Or just Aran being amusingly witty?
Have entered the phrase in Google Translate and it’s come up with ‘Yn sownd wrthy ffas lo’. However after seeing an article on North Wales Live about the howlers committed on public signage by supermarkets consulting such websites, am a little wary. Is the translation OK does anyone know?

Yes, “Yn sownd wrth y ffas lo” is fine and you might also hear “Yn sownd wrth y talcen glo” (same thing, just a Northern variant)
