Could someone tell me how to respond yes/no to a command i.e when you don’t want to do what being commanded?

If the verb is in a command form then the general spoken response for ‘no’ is ‘na’. For ‘yes’, particularly if it’s something you don’t really want to do but will, you can always get away with ‘iawn’ in a begrudging voice!

Perfect - my granddaughter is a master of “begrudging”. She also does a spectacullar “flounce”
