Vocabulary in the app

Hi there, I’m new second time around! I previously used the website but then downloaded the app and it’s quite different.
I logged back into the website in search of vocabulary lists but they’re not the same.
I know it’s meant to be a game you just listen to, but it doesn’t matter how many times I try, if I can’t write a word down, I can’t remember it.
I have taught English to Spanish people successfully (usually!) and I found then that many older adults have the same issue.
Is there, anywhere, a vocabulary list for the challenges in the app? I can’t find one.
If I can’t even see it written it’s extra difficult as I’m slightly deaf. Also I can’t remember what I’m doing from one minute to the next, let alone words I’ve only heard! Please can we have a list in the app? I prefer the sentences I’m learning but I can’t remember them.
Thanks
Alix

Unfortunately the vocab list isn’t available via the android app, although it is available via the website and the iPhone app - this thread might help with where to find them: Vocabulary list for level one north

Thanks, but I’m a bit confused. In the thread that I find when I follow this link, I get the same lesson - that is called challenge (whatever!) that I get on the app, which is the vocab I’m looking for. When I use the website myself, I get a slightly different lesson called a task, the vocabulary is different and I don’t know how to get the same lesson on the web as on the app. Is it because I’ve just started and haven’t subscribed?
I am (hopefully!) uploading a screen shot that looks a bit weird because I’m using Linux, but hopefully you can see the difference. I can only upload one screenshot as a new user, so I hope you can get what I mean!
Thanks
Alix

Ah, right! Yes, the “one sentence” is different - it’s the taster course. The levels and challenges are the subscription course and it’s those that have the vocab lists, so yes, they are different. Sorry to have added to your confusion (now where’s the “oops” emojii…!)

Thanks! I’ll look at subscribing. I’m a very visual learner. :face_with_monocle:

If you want to have a mooch around the forum using the search function (the magnifying glass in the top bar), you’ll find lots of posts by other visual learners and others with hearing problems and lots of advice relating to them and you can always add to the threads with your own questions or ask for further advice from those people - we’re all here to try and help each other
