When I lived in Caerdydd I often used to go to Welsh quiz nights in the Mochyn Du pub in Sofia Gardens. They were very popular, but all in Welsh, so as a team of learners at the time, we always used to make sure we had an experienced Welsh speaker with us to help with understanding. The Quizmaster most of the time was Dewi Chips, and he was great. A variety of questions and a fun atmosphere.
So I was very excited to see that the Quiz Night is back on, in the same pub but with a new name Bragdy a Chegin. I don’t live in Caerdydd any more, but I’m really pleased to see that others will have the same opportunity I had. And even better, this time it’s aimed at Welsh Learners!
If you live in Caerdydd, do your best to get along. You will improve your Welsh and have fun doing it!
