If you are anywhere near Wrexham/Wrecsam on your travels, you are very welcome to come to a rehearsal of my choir - Rhos Orpheus Male Choir / Cor Meibion Orffiws y Rhos. We practice on Mondays and Wednesdays and on Tuesday 11 November we are singing in a Welsh Night in a local pub. Happy to give you details.

Slight change of direction from Cowbois Rhos…

Simple pop songs. There’s nothing that can beat them.

Cerdd dant. Not even people who understand cerdd dant understand cerdd dant. And strictly speaking it’s more of a literary art form than a musical one. But I enjoyed this!

Edited to add: I’m not sure what Discourse thinks it’s doing with the embedding. In the preview it looks fine. :unamused:

Love this thread. Prior to moving to the States, I lived in N. Wales & grew up listening to The Alarm, as they were family friends. They have Welsh versions of two of their albums.

I found a You Tube Playlist that has the tracks for “Newid.” You Tube wouldn’t let it embed the videos, so here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFCD8224CCE6C104A

Enjoy!

No reply on the Plygain thread, so I’ll ask the question here. Does anyone know of any Plygain services coming up soon, preferably within about 20 miles of Carmarthen? Googling finds them in expat churches in America and the local(ish) ones I seem to find out about the following day. In hope!
