Welsh Walk in northern Sir Benfro

There is a group that meets to walk in the general Teifi area once a month and new Welsh speakers are welcome to join them.

The first walk for 2022 will start from near Mynachlog-ddu. I’ve done this walk before and it’s beautiful in its wild bleakness, but you’ll need to rug up well if there’s a wind blowing! Here are the details from Philippa:

Cerddwyr Cylch Teifi Walkers
Saturday 8th January
The Mynachlog-ddu area
Leader: Hefin Wyn

Leave the car park at 10.30

A two-hour walk of about 3.5 miles along a quiet, flat and hard but wind-exposed road (700 feet above sea level). Start from the car park by the Waldo Memorial Stone (SN 135 303) at Rhos Fach about half a mile west of Mynachlog-ddu on the road to Rosebush. (The closest postcode for Satnav is SA66 7SN but this doesn’t lead to the exact location). Walk along that road as far as Glynsaithmaen Farm (standing stones site) and then back the same way. Lovely view to the south over Pembrokeshire throughout the walk.

If you’d like to take part, get in touch with Philippa at philippa.gibson [AT] gmail.com so she can email you more information about the Covid precautions etc.
