When and how to say will you

Hi

I’m getting used to saying ‘wnewch chi’ or ‘wneu di’ for ‘will you’ but also use ‘bydda di’ so when should these be used? I know the former is gneud (to do) and ‘bydd’ future of bod so both make sense to me. I just can’t always think of which way to start my own sentences when speaking.

Thanks

Andrew

If you think of the past tenses and when you’d use versions of bod and gwneud (bod for continuing actions/states of being and gwneud for completed actions), that will give you a clue.
It’s more or less the same with the future tenses - bod for something that’s going to be a continuing action (fyddi di’n agor y ffenestri bob tro? will you be opening the windows every time?) and gwneud for actions which will be completed (wnei di agor y ffenest i mi? will you open the window for me?).
