I’m changing my ‘about me’ today, because the way I think of myself has changed. I was 100% a welsh learner when I first arrived in this fforwm. My ability to speak welsh was very limited. Since then, I have been on the most incredible journey. A journey I am still on and one that I relish and take pride in. I have discovered a Wales I never knew existed. One where history, culture, song, poetry, industry, hiraeth and pride form a tangible co-existence with the people they represent and vice versa.
I am so passionate about my Welsh Wales. The Wales I hold strong and dear in my heart and soul. I love this land and I love her people. I will fight to save, and savour her identity.
I am now a welsh speaker and, when I say this, I say it with pride but also defiance. Because this is our language and I am helping to save and promote it, and our heritage as a whole. I want people to come to Wales and expect to hear the Welsh language being spoken by everyone.
I can contribute to this now and I can do it because of you, SaysomethinginWelsh.
You have transformed my life.
Diolch o waelod fy nghalon.
Dal ati bois.
