I’m an American who is now living in North Wales. My husband and I moved here in 2012, for 2 years, returned to the States, and then returned in Oct 2016. I made an attempt to learn Welsh in 2013 but didn’t stay with it when I knew we would be leaving. When I returned in 2016, for good, I made the decision to start studying again. It wouldn’t feel right living in a country and not be able to speak the language.
