With Christmas round the corner, opportunities to go to Digwyddiadau Nadolig taking place in Welsh will be surfacing all over Wales (and some outside of Wales no doubt!).
Here’s a thread to post any events that you hear about so we can make this a really Welsh Christmas!
Please see the poster below for the trip to the Royal Welsh Winter Fair by Menter Iaith Blaenau Gwent, Torfaen and Mynwy + Menter Casnewydd. Diolch yn fawr!
If you have young children, have young children visiting over Christmas, or if you just want an excuse to let your inner child out, then the Welsh and Ffestiniog Highland Railways’ Santa Specials are great!
Travel on a traditional steam train either from Porthmadog to Blaenau Ffestiniog or from Caernarfon to Rhyd Ddu and back. The carriages are full of cheer and Christmas decorations. Adults get a glass of sherry and mince pie and kids an age appropriate gift from a very jovial bilingual Santa and his elves who like to wander up and down the carriages singing carols. There’s always a great atmosphere and lots of fun to be had, especially if you take the whole family with you, plus plenty of photo opportunities!
There are other refreshments available to buy on the train, but many take their own. Over the years I’ve seen flasks of mulled wine, boxes of Roses chocolates and even canapes being handed around generations of the same family.

Small World Theatre will begin the Parade at Pendre and finish in the grounds of Cardigan Castle. Spectators can join the Parade as it meanders along the High Street with many of the shops opening late.
