Helo pawb, I have exciting news! Our next Noson Lawen will be in four weeks on March 25, about two weeks after Meic Stevens’ 80th birthday. So it will be a special event, celebrating Meic Stevens by performing a selection of his songs.
Please let me know if you’re interested in joining this special event, be it as audience or as a performer. Diolch! :musical_note:

Sesiwn Canu is shifting away from being a weekly event to a somewhat less predictable schedule. Thursday nights weren’t working anymore for many people, so I moved the evening slot to Wednesday, and offering Thursday afternoon as an alternative, as far as my work rota permits.

Here’s the information on the upcoming two sessions:

Helo pawb! Our next online Noson Lawen is four weeks away, so please get in touch with me if you’d like to perform. Similarly to last time we’ll have a birthday to celebrate, as Tecwyn Ifan is turning 70 this May! But unlike last time we aren’t limiting the choice of songs, so whatever you’d like to perform, bring it on  :microphone: :guitar: :musical_note:

Helo pawb! Here is the information on the next Sesiynau Canu:

Please feel free to share far and wide

I have no idea why I didn’t post the July Noson Lawen in here :man_shrugging: There won’t be a Noson Lawen in August, what with the summer holidays still in full swing, so the next Noson Lawen is about two months away. As usual, please get in touch with me if you’d like to perform :musical_score: :musical_note: :guitar: :microphone:

Three weeks to go until the next online Noson Lawen! Considering the time frame I already have a decent pool of performers lined up, but I could very well do with a few more, so please share and get in touch with me!

There are some new Channels available in WSP - one for each of the Welsh counties. Keep an eye on what’s happening in your local area, and feel free to post anything that you know about in the relevant channel too!

Haia pawb! Now that summer is mostly gone and (cue Ned Stark) “Winter is coming”, I wanted to pick up Sesiwn Canu again. Here are the dates for the next three sessions:

So if you like to sing Welsh songs or like to listen to them, or if you just want to come in for a chat about Welsh music, please join me in Sesiwn Canu.

Haia pawb. The next online Noson Lawen will be on November 18th, as usual at 7pm. I am still looking for a few performers, so please get in touch with me if you’d like to perform.

Please remember we have a space on Welsh Speaking Practice on slack where we share events happening in different counties in Wales!

We need more people to come on there to see what’s on!

This is what’s on in Anglesey soon ( this week!)

A special event coming up for you on Welsh Speaking Practice on Weds 22 March at 2pm. Nia will have Sara Peacock along as a special guest speaking about her role with S4C.

We’re very grateful to Sara for agreeing to do this and it’s exclusive to SSiW learners and new Welsh speakers!
