Walk near Llangrannog, Ceredigion

A group of Welsh speakers and learners meets once a month in the general area around the Teifi to walk, chat and enjoy time socialising in Welsh. If you’d like to join us, just send me a message, and I’ll put you in touch with the organiser. The next one is next Saturday, starting from Llangrannog. Here’s the information:

Cerddwyr Cylch Teifi Walkers: 14 March 2020

Edward Elgar’s Llangrannog - Leader: Idris Rees

Leave Llangrannog upper car park (free) (SN 316 538; Postcode SA44 6RJ) at 10:30.

The walk : A circular walk of about two and a half miles, approximately two hours. From the car park, we’ll walk on the roads to Urdd Camp, up to the coastal path, continue on past Pendinas Lochtyn, down the path above Lochtyn Farm to reach the village about half a mile from the sea and return on the road to the car park. Ascent: about 350 feet. No stiles.

Points of interest : The theme of the walk will be the close links between the great composer, Edward Elgar, and the village. We’ll get lovely views too.

Afterwards socialize over refreshments: the Pentre Arms or the beachside café.

I’ll put this in this week’s email @Deborah-SSi.
