TONIGHT in Bar y Seler, Aberteifi (Cardigan)

Owen Shiers (who you may remember from the SSiW Party this year) is playing in The Gate in Cardiff on 5th September:

I Fight Lions are playing Le Pub, Newport on 19/9/19 as part of Gwyl Newydd (Newport’s Welsh Language Festival)

9 Bach are on tour across the UK in October. (I’ve already booked my ticket for the Cardiff gig )

I LOVE listening to Byd Huw Stevens and am so up for attending more gigs in Cardiff (when I can get away from the kids!). Is there a little group who meet up for Cardiff gigs or is this thread more about just posting what’s on?

I’m sure this is going to be fabulous…

Another one not to be missed if you can make it…

This is going to be amazing and there are still some tickets left!

There is this other thread which has been a bit quiet lately, but it could be revived Looking for a Gig Buddy

Just sharing this from @carin-harris

This Saturday - Class all-dayer in Bangor:

Can we count this as a gig? There will be singing… it’s just that the performers are the audience and the audience are the performers!

Since Catrin has promoted this thread in the weekly email, now would probably be a good moment to introduce a couple of great resources from Y Selar, the music magazine published on a slightly irregular basis with the assistance of the Welsh Books Council.

Firstly, there’s a gig calendar at - It’s quite comprehensive in that it covers a wide range of genres, not just the rock/pop that tends to dominate the magazine itself.

But even better than that, the same calendar is available to add to your own device (or even to Microsoft Outlook) so you’ll never miss the opportunity to experience some live Welsh music. The instructions are at .

Gwych, diolch, Rob! X

This Friday:

do you know if the magazine gets printed? I’ve seen it on issu or whatever, but would love to by copies and back issues if they are available…
